Dance with grace: unleash your artistry

I was born in Moldova, Chisinau.

At 4 years old, my mother brought me to my first dance class. During 4 years, I was learning the technique of ballet that helped me to build my posture, muscle strength and body control. By the age of 8, I joined the dance school “Fantazia”.  We explored dance styles like Contemporary, ballet dance and Step dance. There were multiple performances and weekly practices. 4 years later, I immigrated to Canada with my parents.

When I was 14, I joined the dance school of Louise Lapierre. I stayed with them for 2 years and performed for their yearly concert. By the age of 16, I discovered cheerleading and was selected to be part of a competition team. While training and competing with them, I was also part of the cheerleading team in my High school. Cheerleading is a competitive team sport with a lot of acrobatic skills.During these 3 years, I built my communication and teamwork skills, my physical endurance to be able to perform dangerous physical elements and my mental strength and concentration, to be able to compete and perform in front of the judges.

In 2017, dancing came back again in my life. For 2 years, I was part of the dance team of college Ahuntstic. First year, I discovered street dance styles (hip-hop, waacking and popping). My second year, I was part of the contemporary dance team. We performed 2 times at intercollegial show and went to the intercollegial dance weekend representing our college. After my graduation, in 2020,

I decided to explore the Heels Dance, got inspired by the dancer Marissa Heart and followed her heels dance classes. The same year, I explored a few heels classes in Montreal and followed the online training by Alena Fox and Mishka Jane. I was renting studios, training on my own and creating different dance choreographies.

In 2022, I decided to add to my heels training days, the Aerial Hoop classes. I quickly fell in love with this discipline and one year later, performed with my solo choreography at the Showcase of Phenix dance studio. In 2023, Sarah George and I decided to represent Montreal in a National Competition of Aerial Hoop double. We trained for 6 months consistently, created choreography and won 1st place on June 2nd 2023.The same year, one month later, I was invited to perform for GRAE at Ottawa Bluesfest. I was a dancer and a co-choreographer during this music festival. I danced in front of thousands of people and learned what it takes and how to prepare a performance like this. The same year as well, I started to teach my first heels classes.

In 2024, I officially opened my first heels dance season and it’s still going.

In this constantly changing world, where the days fly by, it happens to us from time to time to feel overwhelmed. Social media can negatively affect your self esteem. Financial obligations and family responsibilities can lower your feminine energy.

Since my teenage years, I’ve started to use dancing as a time for me to disconnect from my day to day reality, express my feelings and emotions through the art of dance.

Dancing builded my discipline, physical endurance and mental strength. It helped me to accept my appearance and improved my self awareness. Dance classes helped me to overcome my shyness, self doubts and fueled my confidence. I’ve met a lot of amazing people all over the world, because dance is an international language.

If you want to brighten up your life with new joyful emotions and ideas, improve your physical capacities, mental strength, creativity and surround yourself with inspiring beautiful people – Aledance is the right community for you.
